LAZY 'TURNING THE WHEEL' 20 YEAR ANIVERSARY!

celebrating 20 years of the debut album.

Its hard to believe that 20 years have passed since the release of 'Turning The Wheel' by Lazy, Jamie's very first professional recording and release. Lazy a band made up of school friends Jamie Pinnow (Electric Bass/Vocal) Andy Gray (Electric Guitar/Vocal) Steven Pink (Electric Guitar) were joined by drumming powerhouse Mike Hambidge and set about recording a 14 track album of songs written by Jamie and Andy a song writing partnership in the grand tradition! Recorded during the summer of 1997 under the watchful eye (and ears) of Steve Smith at Room With A View studio in Hampshire the boys took just a week to lay down all 14 tracks. Released on the independent Salt-water label, 'Turning The Wheel' was sold nationally through Virgin/Our Price and Woolworths stores.
Although the band would eventually split later in 1998 it certainly set Jamie on the way to a musical adventure that has lasted 20 years! And coming full cycle, 2018 saw the renewal  of collaboration between Jamie and Mike Hambidge when Mike took over the recently vacated drum stool with Margot Escargot!
